Earthquake Hawaii

Earthquake Hawaii:This time of year we see many pictures of our favorite celebrities sunning themselves and their families on the beaches of Hawaii. Things a bit shaky in the celebs favorite resort's beaches after a small earthquake this afternoon.

The earthquake, which lasted several seconds, shook houses and people all over Oahu, from the skyscrapers of downtown Honolulu to the tourist district of Waikiki.
Katrina Woodcock felt shaking while sitting at his desk on the seventh floor of a downtown office building. The shaking lasted about five seconds or so, and only one other person in her office felt the quake, she said.

A minor earthquake occurred at 2:12:45 p.m. (HRT) on Thursday, February 24, 2011. The temblors and often felt by people on Oahu and Molokai.

The earthquake was initially reported by the USGS to a center for earthquake south of Lanai, but revised the epicenter of the Kaiwi Channel between Oahu and Molokai.
